September 5-8

Hello 4th grade families,
This week in math we began rounding. We first reviewed the rounding that we learned last year in third grade, rounding to the nearest 10 and 100. Then we took that knowledge and extended it into rounding to the nearest 1,000, 10,000, and 100,000. We will continue with rounding this week.

For projects, we are digging deep into our research on our animals. The students are working in pairs and researching a specific animal's senses and how it uses it senses to react to the world around it. We then taking that information and creating an interactive slide show. We will be wrapping up our project this next week and sharing it with our 5th and 6th grade friends.

I am still in search of a math fact volunteer for Wednesdays from 11:15-12:15. If you are available at the time, I could really use you!

Thanks and have a wonderful week!
