Why did the boy eat his math homework? Because the teacher told him it was a piece of cake.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Time for another awesome week of school!

Remember 15 minutes of IXL a night :)

Note from Mrs. Windriver in reading :
This week we learned about exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution.  We will continue working on this.  On Thursday the students had another spelling assessment.  They will be taking these home on Monday - if your child got a 1, please have him/her study each night as part of their 20 minutes of reading.  We continued our book clubs.  Again, if you haven't checked out Edmodo yet, please have your child show it to you.  That is where you will see how your child is doing on their weekly reading assignments.

Projects for the 4th grade- We are well underway with our new project,"The Game of Life". Last week we opened with our entry event and play the board game LIFE. ( Each child who let us borrow a LIFE game took it home with them on Thursday! Thank you for letting us borrow it!) It was fun to see how interested the students were on saving money and budgeting. Ask your child about their experience! This week we will have a presenter coming in to Tuesday and Thursday to help talk to our class about budgeting, loans, and accounts. We will also learn how to write checks and use a money ledger.
P.S.- Having issues uploading our presentations on the blog. I am working to get them posted. Sorry for the delay.

Halloween is coming up if anyone would like to help plan for our party please let me know!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK

Pencil Zippered Binder Pouches

As you know we rotate classes each day. We have had a problem with remembering to take our pencils with us or forgetting them in the other classes. Please provide your child with a pencil zippered pouch for three ring binders. If this is a problem getting one for your child please get in contact with me.
Thank you,
Miss Pettit

I will be sending home a study guide on Tuesday for the students to start looking over. If they want extra practice for their test please get on IXL and re-due the IXL's we have covered. The Fierce 4th grade is starting "The Game of Life" project this week. We will start going over our new vocab on Monday and Tuesday. We will always have a vocab test at the end of the projects! Thursday we will play the "Game of Life" board game for our entry event into our new project.

We split into our new TRIBES last week. The student's worked together to create TRIBE names and come up with goals for each TRIBE. Check out their awesome work!
