Writing Update with Mrs. Duarte

Fourth graders did some review of parts of speech this week in Writing, in addition to completing several assessments related to language and the writing process.  This information will assist us in report card grading, as well as knowing what areas we need to re-focus on in the future.  Students enjoyed several activities to better familiarize themselves with prepositions and adjectives and to understand their importance in the writing process.  Next week will include a look at Thanksgiving and some prompts around the Thanksgiving theme in the areas of narrative, opinion, and informational.
