I just wanted to give you an update on what we've been working on and will be working on in Projects.
We have been studying energy in its various forms and how it can be transferred from one place to another. We also studied methods of transmitting messages over distances, such as using semaphore flags, smoke signals, Morse code, and binary code. Students also learned how to use ordered pairs to plot coordinates on a graph that could be connected to make pictures.
This week, we will finish up studying about energy transfer with students learning about sound waves being transferred. Students will make their own musical instruments out of rubber bands and various containers (but don't spill the secret!). It should be an awesome week!
As a quick reminder, the Middle School Student Council is raising money for the Fallon Youth Club. Each classroom has a container to collect money, and the class with the most money at the end of April will be rewarded with a movie and Taco Bell for lunch. So if you have any spare change laying around the house, please consider sending it with your student so that they can donate it to Fallon Youth Club and potentially win a lunch party!
Thank you for all that you do. I am so honored to teach your amazing children!
