Hello 4th grade families,
This week in math we focused on preparing for subtraction. We reviewed subtracting with negative numbers and the combos to make 10, 100, and 1,000. We really dug in deep so that when we begin our subtraction, it is a breeze!
For projects this week we have begun a new one. We will be learning about the early settlers of Nevada. We started the project out by reviewing the Nevada state symbols and motto. We also reviewed what a timeline is and as a TRIBES activity created our own personal timelines. Then we moved into talking about who the early settlers of Nevada would be by checking out a Nevada timeline. We also got an awesome visit from Fred, a desert tortoise! Thanks again to the Pirkle family for letting us meet and learn all about Fred!
